These tables list the radio and navigation capabilities of the various aircraft in DCS.

  • “Auto-populated” means that the aircraft module populates the map with this kind of system, rather than having the system built into the terrain itself.
  • “Auto-assigned” means that the aircraft module assigns channels and frequencies to various presets rather than giving the player or mission-creator control over the assignments.
  • “Fixed” means that channel and frequency assignments are hard-coded into the system and cannot be changed — usually the specific frequencies are listed in the module manual.
  • Presets listed as “(ME)” can be set in the mission editor.
  • Presets listed as “(LUA)” needs to be set in separate Lua-files injected into the mission, or created through the “prepare mission” feature.

The cell colouring for some radios indicate different known states for compatibility with DCS SimpleRadio Standalone:

  • Blue indicates that SRS properly reads the channel settings, removing the need to use the radio overlay to set frequencies, but radio switching and push-to-talk selection still needs to use hotkeys set in SRS.
  • Yellow indicates that SRS properly reads the channel setting, and allows for limited in-game PTT activation, but does not switch to different radios through the in-game selection methods.
  • Green indicates that SRS reads channel settings and also reacts to in-game PTT activation, removing the need to set specific SRS shortcuts to speak on the radio in question.
